“Tzamia-Krystalla”, the art gallery with this unique name, has already enjoyed a 14 year history in the world of art.
It is a gallery that through highly aesthetic choices has become acknowledged and appreciated from it's beginning.
Exhibitions of Greek Contemporary Art, music nights with well-known artists, theatre and dance performances, describe its extensive course that was initiated in 1995 by Nikos Grafas and the well known ceramic craftsman Manousos Chalkiadakis. Initially established in Chania in Crete, the art gallery moved to Fira on the island of Santorini in May of 2008.
“Tzamia-Krystalla” means “Glasses and Crystals”. The name comes from the special history of the handicraft industry that initially occupied our art gallery. It was an enterprise which cut and processed glass and crystals in Chania since 1948. Respecting the tradition of the place, we borrowed a name that already meant a lot for the people of the area.
With the same name we carry on here, in Fira on Santorini, loyal to our vision of good quality without compromise in the Greek Contemporary Art.
